Bio
My name is Colleen. I am a Sociology major at the University of Florida. Sometimes I can be a very passionate person. I have strong opinions about music, life, politics, etc.. I enjoy talking to people who can offer an interesting perspective on various subjects. I try to live each day to the fullest, laugh as often as possible, and spend a great deal of time appreciating the world around me.

Some good quotes to live by:

"Some People Feel the Rain, Others Just Get Wet.."
-Bob Dylan

"If everyone demanded peace instead of another television set, then there'd be peace."
-John Lennon

"It's being here now that's important. There's no past and there's no future. Time is a very misleading thing. All there is ever, is the now. We can gain experience from the past, but we can't relive it; and we can hope for the future, but we don't know if there is one."
-George Harrison

"After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music."
-Aldous Huxley

"Happiness makes up in height for what it lacks in length."
-Robert Frost

"Honest differences are often a healthy sign of progress."
-Mahatma Gandhi

"Then take me disappearin' through the smoke rings of my mind, Down the foggy ruins of time, far past the frozen leaves, The haunted, frightened trees, out to the windy beach, Far from the twisted reach of crazy sorrow. Yes, to dance beneath the diamond sky with one hand waving free, Silhouetted by the sea, circled by the circus sands, With all memory and fate driven deep beneath the waves, Let me forget about today until tomorrow...."

-Bob Dylan, Tambourine Man ... In my opinion one of the most beautiful pieces of poetry ever written.

"We begin from the recognition that all beings cherish happiness and do not want suffering. It then becomes both morally wrong and pragmatically unwise to pursue only one's own happiness oblivious to the feelings and aspirations of all others who surround us as members of the same human family. The wiser course is to think of others when pursuing our own happiness."
