I think that sometimes in life, bridges have to fall. Sometimes they just simply go unattended and rot away, sometimes they have to be burned. But there are a lot of bridges in this world that do not get rebuilt, and I think that its okay. The ones that do may be as strong as iron, but sometimes you just have to know when the building becomes more expensive than its worth, and its useless when you try to build from only one side.

I don't understand why I a man needs needs his prostate checked once a year after age 40, but a woman only needs a mammogram once every two years after age 50. Perhaps this has something to do with the fact that it is cheaper to shove two fingers up a mans bum than it is to run a machine.

Not to mention the fact that under this healthcare bill, birth control doesn't have to be covered but viagra does. STD screenings, rape kits, and domestic violence exams or counseling don't have to be covered, but services for drug addicts do. I have never been so pissed off to have a vagina.

The Dems have totally let me down. The Senate better fix this shit with a quickness.
It isn't often that I COMPLETELY impress myself when I cook something. I LOVE THIS SOUP! For a vegetarian dish, it is completely filling. So unbelievably good!!!!

2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cups finely chopped onion
8 cloves of garlic, minced
4 cups water
1 teaspoon fresh or 1 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
3 (15 1/2 ounce) cans of chickpeas (also called garbanzo beans) rinsed and drained
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 to 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar.
(I added a few sprigs of fresh Basil)

Heat the olive oil in a pot over medium heat. Add Onion & Garlic and cook for 10 minutes stirring frequently. Stir in the water and everything but the balsamic vinegar. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

Once the soup is cooked, you want to put it into a food processor and puree until smooth. Next return the soup to the pot, add the balsamic vinegar, and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and serve.

Top with grated parmesan cheese.
Hey Everybody....

A friend of mine has come up with an idea for a charitable organization called "INK FOR AUTISM." The idea is that you pay a donation and get a tattoo (they will be very small and there will be a few to choose from) that shows your support for the cause. The coolest part about the whole thing is that it will be permanent and it will represent something awesome.

I personally couldn't think of a better reason to get a tattoo. The donation will be small, since it doesn't really take a lot of ink and whatnot to do a 2 inch tattoo. I think he's talking maybe 10 dollars or so but of course whatever you can give above and beyond would be cool. He has already gotten the greenlight from Mark at Anthem tattoos (that's the place where I got my tree, they are great!).

The charity is in the baby-stage, so at this point it's just about assessing whether or not people are interested in doing it. Just wanted to get some opinions...
